The series of drawings titled "Traces" (2023) by Isaac Chong Wai depicts the outlines of bullet holes. Chong uses paper to capture the uneven surface of a bullet hole, carefully marking the textures of the damaged wall. Chong then follows the creases and wrinkles of the paper, guiding him to cover and pencil the ruffled paper by ink pen and coloured pencils.
