Disguised Camouflage, 2020
Performance, digital inkjet prints, wall prints, military objects
Photographs size: 40cm x 32cm and 120cm x 95cm
One military object between two queer bodies, the series of work by Isaac Chong Wai tackles the tenderness, precariousness and sexuality of power that neutralizes violence under suspended representation of military aggression. Queer bodies are forced to disguise and become camouflage under a hyper-masculine military space, a miniature of society, seen as a threat in the heteronormative world.
